LEAP Agent Story: Natasha Johnson
Having emigrated from Zimbabwe in 2008, Natasha Johnson began her professional life in Australia by working in residential sales. After nine years of developing her craft, she was ready for a new challenge. She secured a position as a project marketer with Geocon, the country’s fourth largest developer, and largest in her home territory of the ACT.
“I don’t regret making the move across to projects as I absolutely love my new role. Every day is completely different which makes getting out of bed in the morning exciting. I also love being able to help people fulfil their dream of either owning a property as their home or as an investment.”
But with a burning desire to succeed – “I love the thrill of the chase and the ‘hustle’ that is involved with selling someone an apartment off plan” – Natasha knew that the fast track to success was through professional development.
“I wanted to master the intricacies of project sales. I already have the foundation from what I have learnt over the last year but I wanted to hone my skills to be able to deliver a better presentation experience to my clients, as well as convert more sales.”
Natasha’s LEAP experience
Natasha found the LEAP Academy project course while searching for ways to develop her project marketing skill set.
“When I worked in residential sales one of the first training sessions I attended was with Michael Sheargold. I loved the way he delivered scripts and sales processes in a clear and concise manner, so I was delighted when I heard he was now doing a course which focused on projects.”
Along with her ideal trainer, Natasha noted a few other benefits that helped to set LEAP apart.
“I loved doing the course online. It gave me the flexibility to build the course around my busy day. I also completed the course very quickly – once I sat down and saw how easy it was to navigate, it took me a matter of days.”
But more than the structure and delivery, Natasha found that the content of the course – the learnings and insights that would drive her project marketing career forward – were exactly what she needed to take that next step.
“The main things I got out of the course were the simple tools that I can use on a daily basis to improve myself and my business. [Things like] my product knowledge, goal setting, qualifying, presentation, dollar productive activities, my belief system, closing skills, overcoming objections, the importance of my referral network, and how to be a ‘dealmaker’. The new scripts and dialogues that Michael presented were also invaluable.”
Between the structure, the delivery, and the education that she received, Natasha’s LEAP experience was everything that she’d hoped for and more.
“I have attended many seminars and training courses over my 10 year real estate career, and I found that the LEAP Accreditation: Selling The Invisible course was in the top 3% on a comparison basis. It is packed with valuable information and content delivered in an online platform that fits any agent’s demanding schedule.”
And having successfully completed the training, Natasha is eager to put it into practice.
“I am really excited for 2019! It will be my second year in project marketing and sales and I am looking forward to my business exploding by incorporating what I have learnt.”
